If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's you may be wondering, “what in the world does that mean”? Is there a difference between Alzheimer's and dementia? Doesn’t everyone get some form of Alzheimer's if they live long enough? Am I going to loose my loved one or my own life or mind immediately? Aren’t there any treatments that work? Take a deep breath, remember that there is a huge community devoted to helping you and your loved ones get through every stage. Now let’s take a look at some of the basics.

In this section of the website there is a brief introduction, followed by a link to a narrated, animated slideshow presentation. The narration script was written by me after many hours of research into the basics of Alzheimer's. I also recorded and edited the audio for the presentations. For the slideshows themselves I called on the help of a dear friend who is an incredibly talented web-designer. Part of creating a website, or any community space, is knowing your limitations and who in your community can help. My limitation is profound when it comes to visual sophistication, communication, and building online animations, so thank god for talented friends. What follows is the script for the narrated presentations:
